Not bad man. Pretty busy over the last couple of years with growing the family farm and transitioning into ownership so I haven’t had much free time. We’re now at a point that we’ve got enough staff that are good at their jobs that I can start taking some time for myself and maybe plan some travel, though that’s on hold for now , I guess. I’m also semi-seriously looking to buy some property for myself, if I don’t put that down payment fund back into the business, which owns the house where I currently live. I’m somewhat hoping  the current crisis chills out the housing market a bit and creates some opportunities for people looking to buy. We shall see.

How’s LA treating you? Last thing I recall is you were working with one of the electric car startups (Lucid motors maybe)? Is photography your main gig these days? I check into Insta every once in a while and you’ve always got something different up there, which is cool to see.

That all sounds good. Congrats on the farm success. He housing market is definitely chilling, I’ve had my eye on it here in LA at least.

That startup would have been Faraday Future, that Gigi only lasted two months due to their lack of funds. I have just been freelancing and it has been quite good but as you may imagine all the bigger manufacturer gigs are on hold  for now. I’ve b n working with a production company that shoots press kits and things like that for Porsche, which is a true pinch-me kind of connection. Got a couple new inquiries for jobs with big companies last week so fingers crossed I can get back to work soon. Otherwise LA is great. Rocking my ultimate two car setup with a ‘17 i3 BEV and a ‘95 M3. Cheers man!

Damn, FF was my next guess. :P. The market here is holding, for now. There was 50 acre plot I wanted to look at listed for $600k but that’s definitely on the high end considering the land isn’t really workable from a farming perspective. Beautiful spot to build a house though, but I’ve probably missed my shot on that one as the sign came off last weekend. I’ll wait till some desperation sets in...

Congrats on the success man. Photography seems like a tough industry to break into, let alone managing to make it into a full-time career in the relatively niche automotive sector of it.

I remember the i3 and I think I’ve seen the M3 on the gram. Stripped and caged with some suspension work done? That’s a pretty sick canyon car.

I wanted to buy an e36 M3 but I couldn’t find a reasonably priced clean one up here in the land of snow and rust. I bought a 128i instead and the performance numbers are actually quite similar. The suspension is a bit more squishy and it doesn’t have an LSD but I have some Ohlins R&T stuff to fix the former and I’ll replace the diff too.

I’ve been happy with it and the WRX as a 2 car garage but I’ll likely replace the Subie with a truck at some point. I want to be able to throw  mountain bikes and kayaks in the back as I start doing those things again and the my ‘17 WRX doesn’t have roof rack mounts that the ‘18+ cars do. I shopped a bit last fall but I couldn’t get myself to give up the driving experience the Subaru provides when the snow hits. I’m hoping Ram and Nissan’s upcoming small trucks appeal to me, if not I might look at a CPO Grand Cherokee SRT or Macan. Or a next gen STI if Subaru brings back the hatch. Decisions, decisions...
